One of the surviving roommates told authorities she was woken up around 4 a.m. by what she thought was Kaylee playing with her dog. That same roommate then opened the door to her second floor bedroom to investigate, but didn't see anything. She opened her door again after she heard what sounded like crying coming from Zana's room and froze in shock when she saw a male figure dressed in black wearing a mask covering his nose and mouth.
