The Construct of Whiteness in America
The construct of whiteness predates America in terms of, I mean, the British were probably, they were mastering that construct long ago. They were mastering the construct but the development of and the sort of institutionalization of the construct is actually ours. So capitalism requires race in order to hold up in this country because they were built together.
