Timberlake dating Britney Spears automatically got him attention that he couldn't have gotten anywhere else. As far as NSYNC in relation to Pearlman's later boy bands talking about O town LFO 98 degrees by the time these acts were being put together, the boy band thing had taken over pop music. They were the first ones to copy Backstreet Boys before anyone really realized there was enough room in this market to make millions of dollars doing that.
