Is It Coherent and True to Think That the Mind Is Innate?

Since chomsky's writings, beginning in the sixties, it became avery very hot topic. So you've got a lot of people out there to day call themselves nativists. Stephen pinker advocates it, and great many other people do. The doctrines of empiricism have been more or less abandoned by most mainstream psychology. We're trying to explain how we this rich system of knowledge from rather scanty data coming in through the senses. And we have to postulate that there's a rich prior state of the mind which explains all thi so ites you empirical psychology. It is actually very important.
