The Paradox of Science
In the face of everything that we've been doing for the last you know 100 or so years in the modern world since the industrial revolution things have got provably worse and yet we don't seem to actually use that science to make anything else. A colleague of mine here in Cambridge tells me that her genetic research and she's an atheist would challenge some contemporary ideological orthodoxes and therefore she cannot pursue that research because she'd be trittestorned into resignation there'd be no chance. There is a genuine ideological censorship and direction of science on a level that nobody can really estimate but it does seem to be there. In Europe the people who score highest on this happiness of life scale are Muslims followed
