I think to understand the intellectual, artistic, cultural, even spiritual traditions of Europe and how they informed the American project can bring us back to some notion of self that isn't completely corporatized. And so what we have, the art that we can look to from the old world, it's been mauling in these things that are contemplating the human condition for longer than America's roots as a nation has ever done. I just got so tired, I guess, of almost wasting my time with contemporary media, entertainment, culture,. That I just said, you know, I want to embrace things that are good, that are good for me.
