"I always cheer for the underdog. I'm always championing the team that's not supposed to win," he says. He was born in Salford, one of the slums of England, which is a suburb of Manchester. During World War II, pregnant ladies were evacuated outside bombing areas so their children could have peace. "I actually quite a few years ago took two of my sons into that room and there was the room and I'm breathing in the room in which I took my first breath."
