How to Save Carbon by Reusing Existing Materials
It's now possible to quantify the metric tons of carbon that can be saved by not rebuilding from scratch. Software such as one-click LCA or EC3 simulate scenarios for reusing existing materials and structures in the building. This is approaching common practice, says Christopher Pike, senior vice president at the U.S. Green Building Council.
