The Death of Mary Queen of Scots

Mary Queen of Scots was put on trial for treason in 1587. She believed that kings and queens were chosen by God, not people like her. Elizabeth I spent years trying to avoid executing Mary because she didn't want to have to do it. When Elizabeth died in 1603 the throne of England went to Mary's son King James VI of Scotland who became King James I of England. And when he was in power he moved his mum's body from Peterbrook Cathedral to Westminster Abbey to be with the other kings and queens.
