How to Launch a Fund in 99
I used to give stock tips, you know, after I bought something and they had done really well. So my friends gave me the idea of managing money for them in 99. And about a year and a half later, we had a 70% year, the first year. We sold the business because he was going to get a new deal and again, another bite of the apple. In 2000, I decided let me not treat the fund as a stepchild. I treated it as a real business and try to grow and scale it.
