Is Your Sin a Corruption?

When we talk about God's law, every sin is a first commandment violation. R.C. Sproul called sin a cosmic treason. I think I've always interpreted that to mean basically what you just said. Your sin is an affront to the person of God. It's utterly contrary to his holy design and purposes. And yet he can use it in such a way as to bring himself glory and to bring salvation to some of the worst people we could think of.
