The High Top Model for Psychopathology

There's not really any good reason to think that there's something specific or special about the connection between personality traits and personality disorders. The high top model is more or less well I would describe that actually as the ghost of Christmas present. That's a model that says instead of thinking about psychopatology like either people have a disorder or not we should think about these generalized dimensions of risk. And so I think the future really lies in models that marry structure like Kaita with function which is about how person problems play out over time.
