Is Home Ownership an Appropriate Programme for Ipoverty?
Families have been put into homes who have no sense of responsibility. We found welfare mothers whose sole income was aid for dependent children, other benefits that come from that status in life. And they were put in housing, presumably as owners, and yet they could not even fix a faucet washer. Can we not conclude that there are some people who do not have the sense of responsibility or the economic income to own a home? I think it's, of course, a legitimate question to ask whether home ownership is an appropriate programme for ipoverty,. But embedded within the rest of that are really just a bunch of races, stereotypes and caricatures of the fitness and responsibility of black
