Global Dollar Shortages - The Fed Is Not a Central Bank
CNN's John Avlon says the U.S. economy was already in a bad shape when it went through another global dollar shortage, 20 20. He says foreign reserve managers were forced to sell their ofto run, ill liquid treasuries to primary dealers because they couldn't repo them. Avlon: The Fed ona able to stop the flow of global dollar shortages because it's not central bank. Is more of a janitor.
