Psychology is based on newtonian mechanics, and in fact could be called psychohydraulics. The tendency is to regard all that which lies below the surface of human consciousness as being less evolved. Most people cannot consider more than three variables at the same time without using a pencil. If therefore, the human race is to flourish, we must take charge of evolution. It can no longer be left to spontaneous process, but must be directed by human ingenuity.
