The White Handed and the Death of Hardy

Hardy's heart was buried in Stinsford while his body was taken to woken where it was cremated and his ashes interred in Westminster Abbey. The local vicar who's interested in medieval legends said well in the olden days they would often take the heart out of the body and persuades Florence to get a surgeon round to remove the heart from Hardy's body he takes it home in a biscuit tin. In an odd sort of way medievalism does rear its peculiar head even in this very strange final act of Hardy's life.
