The Gates of Night and Day in Permanities

No one can agree what these gates are. They're similar in some ways to the description given in Hesiod's Theogony of the House of Night, which also has a bronze threshold. So possible that Permanities thinks the son literally goes underground each night and re-emerges on the other side of the earth each morning. But anyway, we're speculating here.
