Are We Really Good Endurance Runners?

When we transitioned from walking to running, it was at a time when our brains were getting bigger and we needed meat. So we're not very fast runners, but we are good endurance runners. And the reason for that is because we can pant off our heat. Whereas these big animals like coodoos, have their guts sort of slosh up against their diaphragm so they aren't able to pant off their heat very well.
