The Fed's Job Is to Raise the Unemployment Rate
The economy is still growing well beyond its potential, which is in the one and a half to one point eight % range. At the very least toward the end of the year, we should start to see the unemployment rate flatten out. If it doesn't, as policy makers have warned, then you could see an unemployment rate in the high tos. And that' till gon to mean, ha. The fed has a lot more to do.
