John Stuart Mill lays out 13 arguments for and against freedom of speech. He argues that the idea only makes sense in a certain philosophical context. On communism or any collectivist or ancient tribal system of government, the individual doesn't matter. If you're a danger to the group, you should be removed like a cancer mercilessly.
