How to Measure Productivity in an Organization
I think it is difficult, but I think it does depend on the mission. Are we thinking ahead of the skills that we're going to need in the future? Are we automating in the right ways? Can we demonstrate that we're more effective now than we were before? Many organization track metrics like revenue by headcount as a simple productivity measure. It's another thing to live and breathe it and make sure that you've got that view around scaling in the right place.
