A systematic review is just someone reviewing a literature and saying, here's the different things that have been discovered. Here's what others believe. And it can be an incredibly efficient way to learn about a topic. Another thing you could do is pick one expert that you see things seems really smart and then kind of just trust what they say on the topic. That's probably going to be much better than just going with your own current opinion when you haven't really said that field at all.
