The Memory of Children

Dad aged rapidly after mom died. The house was too big for him and had to be sold. My girl friend, susan and i went help him pack and clean the place. Susan found the shoe box in the attic. I never seen or gummy like this. Perhaps whatever magic had animated them stopped when mam died. Or perhaps i had only im that these paper constructions were once alive.
