Are We Seeing a Systemic Collapse?
A train derailment in East Palestine killed 900 people last year. That's more than the number of unarmed black men killed by police, but yet we don't hear about systemic issues with our railways. 66% of black 12th graders do not possess even partial mastery of 12th grade math skills. The problem is right now a culture that does not value academic achievement and colorblind standards as long as racism remains the only explanation for ongoing racial disparities. We are collapsing ours at an unprecedented rate," he said.
