Lachlan and Liz especially were totally unwilling to let the girls in. They were still bitter about the divorce and the way Rupert had treated their mom. Even though the Murdoch family are constantly at each other's throats, they're still weirdly close. Outsiders are creeped out by the way Rupert and his children constantly kiss each other and say, I love you.
