Dividend yields are quite simple to understand on paper, but there's a few things you want to take into account with them. Some industries are going to give you a little bit more than others. Don't get sucked into the idea that a higher yield will mean that it's a better investment. If it's a highr yield, again, that means they're not investing back into the company so growth be even lower.
