The Impact of the War on Russia in 2022
I think one of the things that was really unexpected is not so much the war itself all the way in which it's been fought but what we don't know about Russia at the moment. We see a lot of effects of say Russian migration as a result of the war going into Central Asian countries like Kazakhstan and Armenia although some of them have returned now. The crackdown on social media on protest action has really sped up and made it extremely difficult for people to have proper contact with people in Russia again. People are choosing to move away from Russia and to emigrate rather than trying to build a future in Russia under the current circumstances.
