Are You Good at Telling When Someone's Telling the Truth?
We all like to think we're really good lie detectors. But when you carry out this research, you are putting that to the test all the time. There isn't any evidence as far as I'm aware that eye movements tell you anything about lying yet people have that idea in their head. And that's influencing their decisions. It's a good example of why we need psychology.
