Decision Theory and Game Theory
It's interesting to hear that your academic journey is very much linked to your personal journey and is rooted at a very early stage in your life already. Decision theory is the field when we study what we call individual decisions or decisions that in some sense you take in a vacuum, whatever you do is not going to affect anyone else. And so many things that we are doing in game theory, for example, even Nash equilibrium, which is the most foundational building block of game theory, is based on very strong assumptions coming from decision theory.
