Deep Space Explosions
The last time we had pictures of Europa like this was way back in the 1990s with the Galileo spacecraft, we did a very close fly by of Europa as well. And so that's one of my favorite science missions. But easily my favorite deep space mission this year was the double asteroid redirect test or dart. It took off in November of twenty twenty one and it went to the asteroid Diddy Moose. Now Diddy Moose is about seven hundred and eighty meters across like twenty five hundred meters across. Yeah. Like if you sat it beside the Burj Khalifa,. That tower is slightly taller than it, but not as massive because this thing's like five hundred twenty two million metric tons
