'Pedra's Love' by Sara Kane

The play is loosely based on a seneca's play, fedra, but it's put in a contemporary setting. Hippolydus takes the central role, and his emotional cruelty pushes pedritus suicide. And this is another dramatic gesture, or dramaturgical gesture, that cane makes, which, which sticks with us, and which i've never forgotten. She reversed the classical tradition by showing, rather than describing, violent action on stage.
