In England we call R0, which is the number of new infections caused by a primary infection. We know that for this particular virus, that value is about 2.5. A primary infection would cause about2.5 secondaries, which leads to a doubling of the virus about every three days. And it bears on this whole question that we discussed on coming out of quarantine.
