How to Do a Blended Ranking

The BM25 scores are unbounded and that creates a problem. The neural system scores are generally bounded. So it's hard to do it reliably, but nevertheless, for as crude an approach as it is, it does show impressive performance boosts on a wide range of benchmarks. Once that kind of infrastructure gets out into the open source world, I think we'll have even more options for doing this better.
