The Effects of Incorrect Work Examples on Mathematics Performance

The idea is there that we can use errors to kind of help students learn what not to do while they're also learning what to do. The same thing is the case with worked examples. So you shouldn't have to, for example, read a question or a side statement to understand what's happening within the work example. Another feature that's been highly studied is prior knowledge of the learner. And in my work in particular, I show that students with low prior knowledge in the target content actually benefit more from incorrect work examples.
