The Russian Counter-Offensive Is a Surprise to the Ukrainians
The Russians have had a long period of notice for this particular counter-offensive. I don't think anybody was expecting the Ukrainians to just find this to be a walk in the park. The longer things go on, the more it may favor Ukraine a bit. It's hard to know whether they really would be that domino effect with one Russian unit hearing that somebody 10 miles down the front line has fled and then at that point they're doing the same.
