Curse films are not a particularly prominent genre in the horror genre, but there are quite a few like really, really good ones dragging you to hell is another one. The movie takes that concept of trauma treats it as what if it was like literally a curse,. It's working allegorically and then he uses that to inflict as much anxiety upon the audience as possible. And I think he does a really remarkable job from the sound design to the incredibly off-putting camera work"
