The First Amendment and Twitter
There's a very real sense in which there's a First Amendment issue there. It matters when the federal government or agents of the state are involved in giving directions to private companies. There is a legitimate issue of concern here for anyone who believes in free speech and is concerned about civil liberties. Also, lots of journalists poo-pooing this before any of the details about this story emerged.
