LZ Granderson: As a civil libertarian, I'm very distressed about the lack of free speech. He says it's shocking the inroads that rulers have made in terms of limiting free speech. LZ: Michigan just passed a terrible law where you misgenders and refuse to call some somebody who should be in a padded room somewhere they can get up to five years in prison for hate speech. And as far as I'm concerned, if I were to define hate speech, would include people who consider themselves to be an actual person with real feelings? The word hate isn't in the Constitution anywhere," he said.
