Despite our overwhelming abundance, we seem to be lying more than ever. You suggest that truth telling engenders an abundance or a plenty mindset and lying, a scarcity mindset. This comes into play in a paradoxical way today, because although we're living in this world of incredible material abundance, we are living in a world of immaterial scarcity,. And so we feel we can't, we can't rely on them. That will then drive us to turn toward material consumption and over consumption of these various drugs as a way to fill that spiritual void.
