Party Scenes in Fiction
i think that the really interesting, dramatic thing about parties is there such a collision of the public and private. And so i think that a lot of really great party scenes in fiction are dealing with that clash of thepublic and private. It's like, and that's part of the fun of parties, right? Till i go and be like, put on your best lip stick and go and be on display a little bit. But there's also a dark side to that, as you say. I just don't love reading it.
