The Bizarre Relationship Between the State and the Market
Why do you think that Indians are willing to tolerate a enormous amount of failure from the government and at the slightest failure in the marketplace? We have this very bizarre, almost schizophrenic relationship when it comes to the state. Where does that come from? I mean, there could be multiple, but one of the things is it's an easy thing in India to blame everything on colonialism.
