A lot of my concerns about affirmative action could be addressed if universities were honest with their students. I actually have a minor in chemistry started out as a chemistry major and switched economics. It's not only that the material is more difficult, but they're giving lower grades there. And it disproportionately affects women because women value grades differently than men on average.
