Bitcoin Core Developers Aren't Influential

I really struggle to explain to people sometimes. It's not about whether you individually can read the code, although it's absolutely great if you can. The dynamics of the situation are such that that is not real power. Anytime anything goes wrong, a good example being join markets, share, check sums going wrong. Why? Because the whole process is open. So it doesn't, of course, there's no guarantee, but when something is open, it changes it totally.
