Patterns in the Past and the Future
In order for you to remember things from a very long time ago, they have to synthesize into patterns. And so as you move towards the future, you talk, you move in patterns. That can help us understand why the legendary history is so patterned and why it looks like the end of Revelation with the heavenly Jerusalem. The genealogy in Matthew's gospel goes back to Abraham, which goes back to Noah. This is sort of even in Scandinavian mythology,. As those people Christian look back, they try to figure out where do we fit in? So this sort of thing has been going on ever since St. Luke writes his gospel.
