The Last Day of the Lord Is Near
Gospel was preached even to those who are dead, that they might live in the spirit like god does. Concerns about death of christians seem to have been common within early church. In a few years after paul's writing of this epistle, jerusalem will be destroyed. The nearness of the day of the lord is a common theme throughout the new testament writings. Life must now be lived in the shadow of the day of the lord that is coming.
