A spy in Canada blew the whistle on Chinese interference in Canadian affairs. He did that by taking a bunch of stuff to Globe and Mail reporters, and they just printed it. What they were printing was that China interfered in the Canadian election in 2021. So conservatives were so anti-China that the Chinese-Canadian consulate intervened.
