Liz found a lump in her breast when she was 29 years old. She is Ashkenazi Jewish and has a strong family history of breast cancer. Her mammogram was normal, but an ultrasound showed that she had the disease. An MRI showed it was 5.5 centimeters; chemo shrank it, but there was 13 centimeters of lobula left after surgery.
