How Early Do You Start Simulating?
In the lab, you have to be very careful that you're not mixing and matching different types of sentence with different sorts of grammar. You actually ask questions about what grammar does for simulation. For example, take a language that sticks the verb at the very end, like japanese does. We can tell using grammar, that people are making predictions as soon as they have a pretty good idea of what's going to happen next.
