Introduction

Scott Rank, host of the podcast History Unplucked: Facebook's midterm purge of conservative pages well underway. On Tuesday, October 11, 2018, Facebook deleted 810 pages from their site for quote, inauthentic behavior. The purges seem to have been a mix of legitimately toxic bullshit being axed and also legitimate activist pages being deleted because they ran a fall of an algorithm. Even if they're trying to do a good thing, they're going to do it in the dumbest possible way to get worse.
