Electric Cars and the Parking Crisis
How is electric cars going to complicate our parking crisis? That's a great question. One of the top factors in determining whether somebody will buy an EV is whether they have access to charging at home. Most New Yorkers park their cars on the street. Now we could potentially provide some public charging along the curb. But it would be inefficient and incredibly expensive if we were to try and do something like that.
